Two-piece Remington scope mount:

Unscrew the scope ring screws and remove the upper parts of the scope rings. Place the lower scope rings on the rifle receiver and slightly tighten their mounting screws. Insert the riflescope into the lower scope rings and check that it fits well in them. Adjust the position of lower scope rings if needed. Carefully remove the riflescope and tighten the mounting screws. Insert the riflescope set to maximum magnification into the lower scope rings, fit the upper scope rings and sligtly tighten ring screws so that you can correct the riflescope position. Adjust the riflescope position to a distance so that you can see a clear image in the eyepiece. Align the reticle vertically by turning the scope around its axis. After the alignment, tighten the scope ring screws in cross order so that the tightening is even. The riflescope must only be clamped by the riflescope tube, other parts of the scope must not touch the rifle or scope mount.
